| Our Mission The mission of Jesus Word Center Life Changing ministries is to preach the uncompromised word of God, to make disciples of Jesus Christ, how to transform lives, spirit, and body, through the power of the Holy Ghost.. we are called to reach the broken, the bound, and the forgotten in the heart of North Lawndale with the love of Christ, and to raise up a people equipped to live victoriously, serve their community, and advanced the kingdom of God. Our History Jesus Word Center Life Changing ministries was found it in 1986, by Dr. Mattie, J Phillips and Pastor/TeacherBobbie Perry. Planting a Ministry of Hope., healing and transformation in the North Lawndale community. What begin as a faithful response to a divine call has grown over nearly 3 decades into a vibrant multifaceted ministry, touching thousands of lives across the city. Recognizing that the gospel must meet people at their point of need. What? We believe We are a Bible based, Holy Ghost field and Kingdom Center, Ministry., we hold fast to the foundational truth of the Christian faith as revealed in the Holy scriptures, the following of the core belief that governs our doctrine, our worship and our daily walk with God. We believe in the holy scriptures All scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine for reproof for a correction for instruction and righteousness 2 Timothy3:16 The triune God For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, then word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one 1 John 5:7 The Lord Jesus Christ We believe in the virgin birth, sinless life, a toning death, bodily resurrection ,and glorious Ascension of Jesus Christ. He is the Son of God Savior, the world and soon coming King. The Holy Spirit We believe in the person at work of the Holy Spirit, who convicts the world of sin, regenerate the believer, and dwell all who are saved, and empowered the church for Ministry. We believe in the baptism of the Holly Ghost with the evidence of speaking and tongues, as the spirit give utterance and the continual operation of the spiritual gifts in the life of the church today. Salvation We believe that all have seen that I need of God saving. Salvation is by grace through faith and Jesus Christ alone., not by Work. It is the gift of God., available to all who repent of their sins and confess Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Ephesians 2:8 Healing We believe in divine healing, that it is the covenant right of every believe. By his stripes of Jesus Christ., healing was purchased for spirits sold, and body. We pray for the sick and believe God heals and answer to faithful prayer. 1 Peter 2:24 The Church We believe the church is the body of Christ, called out from the world, and commission to preach the gospel, make disciples, serve The Community, and advanced the kingdom of God until he returned Matthew 28:19-20 The Return of Christ5 We believe in the Personal, visible, imminent return of Jesus Christ. , the dead in Christ rise, and those who are alive and remain, shall be caught up to meet the Lord in the air 1 Thessalonia 4:16 |
